What's going on ......
Here some new images after the remodel and face lift of our ProTec Tulum Facility. These images where made by Matt in the HDR format.
We have officially inaugurated our roof terrace and lounge area on January 14th, 2012 with a great bbq and chill out evening. We had many friends and almost all of our staff there. Leigh Cunningham was so kind to show some of his cave videos he has shot during the last days of cave diving. Matt was acting as Grillmeister manning the bbq to feed them all.
The roof terrace construction is completed, only missing some chairs, tables, a cooler and the bbq.
Our Lounge area and roof terrace is taking shape on January 6th of 2012. We should be able soon to hang out, fire up the bbq and toss back a couple of cold ones :).
On December 21st of 2011 we started with the construction of our staircase to the roof where we will create a lounge area for our students, divers and friends.
On December 15th of 2011 we got our second logo painted onto the store front completing our store front face lift. The next step is the building of the metal staircase to the roof and coming up lounging area.
The store front is getting a bit more color with a red upper bar and our logo painted on the store front. Looks way better.
We are open as of July 1st of 2011, right on time to the 10 year aniversary of ProTec Playa. Please click here to see the time line and progress we made to convert the building into our ProTec Tulum Dive Center.
Remodeling our dive gear retail area
After we received our Halcyon and HOG gear it was time to remodel our retail area somewhat as it got quite full to be displayed next to the Dive Rite gear.
The fill station is open to the public
Since we installed and fired up our compressor on July 22nd we have been open to the public and filling quite a few tanks so far. The compressor is working like a dream, so is the fill and controll panel. The booster pump has been used quite a lot to fill rebreather tanks with oxygen to 200 bar - 3000 psi and is working like a charm.
Running the compressor the first time July 20th, 2011
The compressor was hooked up and run the first time. We filled a bunch of tanks and filing the banks with Air and Ean 32 to be available on tap.
